After browsing the forums at Keenspace, I came across a topic about KeenCribs. Apparently they get webcomic artists to make up a little "guided tour" of their workspace - that is, wherever they make their comics.
I thought, I should do this. It'll be kinda fun.

Latest Update: Tuesday, November 16th, 2004.
Got a new computer and decided that this needed to be updated!
Though I only updated the stuff from my desk, because that's all that's changed, really. And I'll add in the Mac corner tomorrow, it's 2:30 in the morning and I have a class in less than six hours.

A My lovely Mac Powerbook - I luv you. Luvluvluvluvluv! Filled with nice expensive programs that I get thanks to the college... Woohoo!
B The nice nice monitor that I bought (cheap) at Future Shop a year or two ago. Very bright screen, almost brighter than my Mac - though I've grown used to using an LCD screen, so I'll have to adjust to refresh rates again.
C BRAND SPANKING NEW LEGO-RED COMPUTER. 120gigs of hard drive space, Radeon video card (don't ask me more, that's all I know). I'm in the process of installing lots of fun programs on it so I can play and be merry on two computers at once. Huzzah!
D The Pimpette Archive... which has gotten significantly fatter since the last time I posted here. It's heavy as fuck, but I wouldn't clean it out for the world.
E HP Scanjet 3970 - my nice little scanner, which is (unfortunately) very loud. So don't ask me to scan things at two in the morning, because my little brother's room is directly above mine. And the ceiling isn't soundproof (damn!).
F Artwork-in-progress: Cat-Eyes. Acrylic on canvas. It looks cool from here, but close up it looks craptastic. I'm not as good with paint as I'd like to be, but that's okay.
G The craptacular chair that has been in this house for ages. Notice the back is torn to shit. Luna likes to use it as a scratching post.
H My 486 hiding in a corner. I don't need it, and yet I can't bring myself to get rid of it. I mean, c'mon. I'll find a use for it someday, surely.
I A hint that my room may not be quite as clean as it appears here. I shoved all that stuff to one side so I could move all my new computer stuff in. It's fine where it is, I guess...

A Once again, my nice nice nice monitor, featuring, as a desktop, an image of my two cats, Pixel(orange), and Luna(calico). The thing around Pixel's neck is a sort of cat toy. I'm not sure who took this picture, but I found it and I'm damn well going to use it.
B The best keyboard I've ever owned, despite the fact that there are two "K" keys, one of which replaces the "L". Makes typing difficult if I look down, which I try not to do now. But it just FEELS nice to type on.
C My awesome mousepad and optical mouse. Mouse matches keyboard, mousepad matches tower. Complete accident, I assure you. I just like vivid or silvery-black things.
D A pair of decent speakers (the other one's hidden on the other side of the monitor). I'm not sure how I ended up with these, but I'm positive they used to be connected to one of our other computers.
E Once again, voila scanner. Also a coaster, to avoid sticky spots on desk, and a weird greeny plastic thing I found in Salvation Army for a quarter. I like poking my brother with it.
F Yes, I cover every surface possible with as much stuff as I can. Not sure why - I just can't stand a blank wall... or cupboard door. There's a fuzzy kitty sticker, a sheet I ripped out of Dreams For Dummies (yey Xmas presents), and a picture of me and James.
G Aaand the corner of my beloved tablet - here be the Powerbook and all its equipment.
Books & Papers

Books & Papers
A The Pimpette Archive, home to any 8-and-a-half by 11" (or smaller) pages with any Pimpette content. Even though lately, for my comics, I've been using paper much too large to fit in there. (see H)
B Pad of marker paper, obtained at Curry's. Well worth the money I paid to keep my markers lasting for more than a week.
C Pages of storyboards and other scribbles - rough work for various things.
D Rough draft of an almost-secret Pimpette plot that might actually become a *gasp* comic book! Shh! Don't tell anyone!
E Good draft of current comic (Friday, May 21 2004). Has yet to be scanned.
F Very old pencilcase shoved full of expensive (but excellent) felt-tip pens, markers in varying tones of grey, a mechanical pencil, and a bit of a very good white eraser. It's stapled shut on both ends.
G Two very nice stainless steel rulers. I definitely recommend buying one. They don't break, they don't warp, and they hurt like a bitch when you smack someone with one. Especially the long one - it has sharp edges.
H Roll of marker paper, containing everything Pimpette-ish that I've done on marker paper. I have to roll it because it's too big to go into the Archive binder, and this paper wrinkles pretty easily. Also, Luna likes to sleep on it if I don't roll it, and that's bad.
I Pack of 8'n'a half by 11" normal printer paper. Used mainly for storyboards & scribbles, but occasionally I actually have to use a printer, so I use this paper.
J Box of those plastic sheets for storing printer-paper-sized paper. I use these to protect items in the Archive - especially since most of the paper I put in there isn't holepunched, and can't be for fear of ruining images.
K Incredibly useful spiral notebook. Currently open to a map of Final Fantasy 3's World of Ruin, which occupies me when I have nothing else to do. Or, you know, when I'm avoiding comics, which I never ever do!
Luna Knows Nothing of Art

As you can see, Luna cares nothing for expensive paper,
or comics on which I have spent many hours.
All she sees is paper to walk and sleep on.
I wuv my kitty.
